Use this program to update the TIN (tax identification number) and the 1099 balance amount for the 1099 reporting year and vendor you specify. You can reset the 1099 balance to the check history balance for all vendor records displayed in the browser as well as drill down to the check history for a vendor and update the 1099 balance and memo for the individual checks written to the specified vendor.
Use the following fields to update vendor 1099 balance information:
1. 1099 Reporting Year
Enter the 1099 reporting year. The system will use this value for display 1099 information.
2. Vendor Filter
Enter the vendor to use for the update.
In the browser in the lower portion of the screen, the system displays the 1099 balance information for the specified vendor. The information in the browser include the vendor code, description, TIN, check history 1099 and vendor 1099 balances, as well as print information for the 1099 form. The print details include the last print time, date, 1099 amount, user and printer and a reprint indicator.
You can select:
Rest All to Check History Amount to reset the Vendor 1099 balance to the Check History 1099 balance for the vendors specified in the browser.
Checks to display the Vendor 1099 Check History screen, which displays the checks for the vendor selected in the browser.
Edit to edit the Vendor 1099 balance or the Taxpayer Identification Number for the vendor selected in the browser. When select to edit, complete the following:
3. Vendor 1099 Balance
Enter the 1099 balance amount for the vendor. Press F1 for None.
4. Taxpayer Identification Number
Enter the Taxpayer Identification Number for the vendor.
After you enter the line, save your work. Press F4 icon to end line-item entry.
Press the Done button to complete the vendor 1099 balance maintenance entry and exit the screen.
