GL Nonstatic Control F/M (GLF980)

The GL Nonstatic Control F/M program contains controls and settings that the system frequently references and updates. The record contains information that the GL system references in performing various functions.

CAUTION! It is strongly advised that a password be used in this program. Changes should be made only with extreme caution and under the supervision of your affiliate.

Access this program by choosing General Ledger-->File Maintenances--> Infrequent File Maintenances-->Nonstatic Control F/M.

The following controls and settings are located on the GL Nonstatic Control F/M:

In the Periods and Ending Dates section, complete the following:

1. Current Period

Enter the current period in which entries are now posted.

2. Current Period Ending Date

Enter the current period ending date in which the current entries are posted.

3. Next Period and Next Ending Date

The system displays the last period closed, and last period closed ending date values.

4. Last Closed Period and Last Closed Ending Date

The system displays the last period closed and last period closed ending date values. 

In the browser in the lower portion of the screen, you can select the previous periods and ending dates for display only.

5. Last Period Recurring Entries Posted 

Enter the last period in which the recurring entries were posted. This initially defaults to the last period in GL and is updated by the system.

6. Last Period Reversing Entries Posted

Enter the last period in which the reversing entries were posted. This initially defaults to the last period in GL and is updated by the system.

7. Last Period Allocating Entries Posted

Enter the last period in which the allocating entries were posted. This initially defaults to the last period in GL and is updated by the system.

8. Date Of Last End-Of-Period Update

Enter the date of the last End-of-Period Update in General Ledger. Press Enter (CR) to default to 010100 initially (assuming date mask in company control record is set to MMDDYY) and is updated by the system.

From the File menu, you can select Delete All to delete all information from the GLNSTC file and GLPDED file. Select Done to save your changes and exit the screen. Select Cancel to exit the screen without saving your changes.
