How to use file maintenance programs
1. Include Metadata Settings on the Security Code Analysis
Iindicates the Security Code Analysis process to examine security codes used in metadata (FACTS standard settings and modifications) in addition to user-maintained security codes.
In browser in the lower portion of the screen select the code you want to analyze or edit. You can also right-click on a highlighted line to view the options below.
Click Analyze for FACTS to read all of the system data to catalog all security codes being used throughout the system, for all companies. Note this option must be selected before you can access the Places the codes are in use.
When the analysis is complete, you can:
Click Users to display all users who have the currently-highlighted security code on the Users Who Have Security Code (SME016.P) screen.
Click Places to display the Places Where Security Code is Used (SME016.P) screen, which lists the places (programs) where the currently-highlighted security code is used. Note this information is company specific.
To edit the description for the code, select Edit and update the code description.
Save your changes and click Stop when you are through editing code descriptions.
To discard your changes select Stop without saving your work.
