The Past Invoice Search screen allows you to select past invoices for returns using the Quick Entry Method. This program is accessible from the Quick Entry button of Customer Returns Entry.
On the Past Invoice search screen, the customer number must be entered unless you are entering a past invoice number only. If an invoice number is entered, the list will automatically display.
If a customer number was previously entered in Customer Returns Entry, the customer field is pre-filled and disabled. The customer number can only be changed if there are no return lines on the Quick Entry screen and no selected past invoice lines on the Past Invoice Search screen.
Selecting a Past Invoice Line for Return
Entering an Authorized Quantity indicates you want the line to be imported to the Quick Entry screen when the Past Invoice Search window is closed. Note that the Received Quantity cannot be greater than authorized quantity.
You can select multiple past invoice lines to be returned at once to the Quick Entry screen. If past invoice lines are selected and you modify the filter values to perform a different search, the previously selected lines will display at the top of the grid before the new past invoice lines. Selected lines will always display even if they do not fit the current filter criteria.
You can use the Unselect button to remove any past invoices lines you do not want to add to the return or change the authorized quantity to 0.
Serial/lot items
Serial/lot items will display multiple lines. The first line will show the item and quantity that was shipped. Individual serial or lot numbers and quantities will display on the next lines. Serial/lot items can be selected from either the item line or from individual serial/lot lines. Selecting this way is indicating that the serial/lot number being returned is already known.
