Set Day and Time (SMU120)

How To

Use this program to set the system date and time for the FACTS' terminals.

Usually, the system date and time are already set when you start up the system. If for some reason the date is incorrect, or for example, you need to set the date back a day to finish up yesterday’s work, the day and time can be changed.

On some computer systems an ERROR=18 results when attempting to change date or time if you do not have permissions set correctly for the host operating system. Should this occur, abort the procedure and attempt again when proper permissions have been assigned.

To set the date and time, specify the New Date. If the day is set more than three days from the current date a warning is given, but the day is still set to its new value. The current system date and time are displayed.

If you are not logged onto your system as the super user, the New Timefield is skipped and is set to the current system time. For super users, specify the new time (HH:MM ?M). The M after the question mark (?) refers to A.M. or P.M. Specify A or P in place of the question mark (?). Press Enter to default to the current system time.

At the Correct Date And Time field, specify Y to indicate the new date and time are correct. Press Enter to default to Y, and the program returns to the menu.
