In User Code F/M (SMF410) users can be setup to not be allowed to break out of an error without an "escape code" by selecting the Require Escape Code check box. When those users receive an error in FACTS, the error window will have "E-Escape Code" instead of the option to abort or to get to basic. When the user selects E-Escape Code, FACTS displays a new window with a code and asks for a response. Users with proper security can access the Escape Code Generator (SMF430) program to specify the code that is on the error window, and Escape Code Generator (SMF430) provides the response code. If the user with the error enters that response code, program that is in error can be aborted or access to a BASIC prompt is available.
To access this program, click System Management>Security System>Escape Code Generator. In the Displayed Escape Code field, specify the escape code display in the FACTS error code.
