Resource Selector (SMC915)

Use the Resource Selector (SMC915) program to add resources to FACTS. To use this program you must with proper permissions set in Security Maintenance. You can add a single resource or multiple resources at one time. You can utilize the program’s drag and drop capability to select a single or multiple resources from a system that supports drag and drop and dragging them onto the grid of the Resource Selector or the list box of the Resource Manager (SMC910) program. When files are dropped onto the grid, all resources are flagged according the resource type settings in the header.

Use the header section to add one or multiple resources at a time to the grid. Complete the “Entity” fields for the entity you want to add resources to. Then specify the File\Folder\URL field by typing in the full path to a file, typing in a URL, typing in a directory, dragging and dropping files or folders onto the field, or browsing for a single file. In the browser you can filter results based on the “extension filter” field in the header and any extensions defined in the SMRTYP file if desired. If the type is a URL, you must type in the URL of the resource. If the type is a file, you can browse to navigate to a file. You can enter a directory into the field and include subdirectories when they are added to the grid. When the selections are made, click the “Add to Grid” button to begin the process of adding the resources to the grid. The resources will be added to the grid according the settings in the “Defaults” section. You can edit each entry in the grid for further control of how each resource will be added. You can delete the currently selected line in the grid, or clear the entire grid.
