CRS Quick Entry

The Quick Entry method allows you to search for past invoices and select them for returns processing.

At the customer prompt of Customer Returns Entry, you can enter a new return document by pressing F1 – Quick Entry.

Process overview

From Quick Entry you can access the Past Invoice Search screen to filter and select past invoice lines to be returned. All selected past invoice lines will display on the Quick Entry screen. You can enter serial items directly into Quick Entry and the Past Invoice Search.

If items from other invoices are also being returned, you can press the Invoice Search button again but this time, only past invoices for the same customer will be displayed. If you select an invoice line, this will be added into the Quick Entry screen.

The Return Action field value defaults from the vendor of the selected past invoice. The await vendor action and reason code fields default from the CRS Control record.

You can enter the authorized quantity, reason code and the CM returns code. If the goods are already at the distributor’s warehouse, then the received quantity can also be entered.

Click Delete to remove lines from the Quick Entry screen.

When you are done selecting past invoice lines for this return, click OK to automatically create the lines on the CRS document. Only lines from the Quick Entry screen that have an authorized quantity will import into the return document. The header fields completed using the first invoice in the entry list. If the entry list consists of only items not from past invoices, the header fields are filled using the customer defaults. Serial/lot items with a received quantity will be checked that quantities are properly distributed.

Returning items not attached to invoices

If permitted in CRS Control F/M, items that are not attached to a past invoice can also be added by entering the item and all other necessary information into the grid. The customer number must already be entered. The return action field will default from the primary vendor of the item.

Temporary items

The CRS Quick Entry program does not allow entry of temporary items.
