Use these fields to create and maintain the technician records to be used in the Service and Repair module.
Main screen
*. Technician
Specify the code that is assigned to this technician. This field is not accessible when modifying an existing code.
2. Name
Specify the technician’s name. The name will default from the Office Automation record.
3. Work Phone Number
Specify the technician’s work phone number. The number will default from the Office Automation record.
4. Home Phone Number
Specify the technician’s home phone number. The number will default from the Office Automation record.
5. Branch
Specify the branch this technician is assigned to (ref. 14).
6. Labor Item Number
Specify the labor item number. The item must be a valid item in Item File Maintenance with the service type set to Labor.
7. Active
Indicate whether the technician is active. Inactive technician records cannot be used during entry or inquiry programs.
Work History screen
2a. Month To Date Worked
Specify the month to date number of hours this technician worked.
2b. Month To Date Billed
Specify the month to date number of hours this technician billed.
3a. Year To Date Worked
Specify the year to date number of hours this technician worked.
3b. Year To Date Billed
Specify the year to date number of hours this technician billed.
4a. Prior Year Worked
Specify the prior year to date number of hours this technician worked.
4b. Prior Year Billed
Specify the prior year to date number of hours this technician billed.
Schedule screen
Use this screen to create the individual work schedules for each technician. Like default company work schedule, technicians marked to schedule will activate the scheduling routines. Having technicians not scheduled allows you to have a default or to-be scheduled technician, allowing entering of estimated time without concern for double booking. Note that these fields are initially set to the SR Control Record’s default schedule.
1-7. Monday-Sunday
Check the daily check boxes for when the technician is available.
In the four time fields, specify the beginning and ending hours for the technician (first and last fields). In the middle fields, specify the technician's beginning and ending time for a meal break.
Rates Screen
Use this screen to specify the rates for the technician. The rates displayed are set up in Default Rate Entry (SRE997).
