Preventative Maintenance overview

The Preventative Maintenance system allows you to set up and maintain a proactive preventative maintenance system for customer equipment. Use the programs on the Preventative Maintenance menu to process and prepare preventative maintenance events for import onto the next service order for a customer. Preventative maintenance can be captured for one customer or a range of customers.

Preventative maintenance consists of three functions:

• Capture the suggested preventative maintenance using Capture Suggested P/M.
  
• Print the suggested preventative maintenance report using Suggested P/M Report. When printing the preventative maintenance report, decide whether to include suggested (not yet scheduled), scheduled (currently appears on a service order), or all preventative maintenance due.
  
• Edit any of the suggested preventative maintenance events using Suggested P/M Maintenance. This program allows you to edit descriptions, prices, and due dates.
