Production Planning (MCE120)

How to

Use this program to enter and display bill of material finished items planned for production.

Processing details

You can enter finished items planned for production and the quantity planned to produce. You can also display finished items planned for production in date or item order.

Once an item has been entered for planned production, you can display the requirements of the component items which lists: component item number and description, quantity required to produce finished item, stocking unit of measure, current quantities on hand, on order and committed.

Order quantities on an order are expressed in Selling UMs. In Manufacturing Control, quantities are expressed in Stocking UMs. Quantities are changed and reflected in those UOMs. For example: a 1 box an on order in Order Entry may equal 10 each in Production Planning entry programs.

You can use the Special Order function to add a sales order line that is backordered and preferred as a build item. See Planned special order ties for production for details.

In the lower portion of the screen you can filter planning records by: date, item number, warehouse, status, and sales order document number.

You can change, add or delete any finished items planned for production.
