Formula Entry (MCE210)

How to

Use this program to enter formulas using ingredients. The Formula Entry screen consists of two sections. The upper portion of the screen is called the header portion where general information such as the formula number, overhead and labor factors are entered. The lower portion of the screen is called the line-item portion where each ingredient item and quantity used to make up the formula is entered.

Once the formula number is set up in the entry program, the finished items using the formula should be set up in the Finished Item Entry program. After packages are set up, production planning can be entered as well as actual production.

You modify or delete the formula at any time. Deleted formula numbers can be reused. All ingredient items (items which are used to produce the formula) must be set up through the Item F/M program.

Click field descriptions for information on each field.

MC Side Bar

After you specify a formula, the MC Side Bar is available from the entry grid to display additional information for ingredient items. It is tailored for quick item selection and viewing details about manufacturing habits for the specified formula item to facilitate efficient manufacturing choices. Click Side Bar Details for more information.

Document and lines notes are available. Toggle notes to import them from existing formula notes. Notes are printable and are stored with the formulation. Line notes may be toggled to be imported from existing item notes.
