The Copy to FOL screen is displayed when you click Copy on the General tab of Infor OS Management FM (SMF951). Use this screen to stage and copy files to the FOL directory. Specify a valid directory and path and click Stage to Grid to copy into the grid only those files in that directory ending in .txt.
Note: .txt files in the indicated directory having names greater than +/- 50? characters will be skipped. The file name (preset + files’ actual name) will not be allowed in the staging grid if it exceeds 100? characters in length.
Complete this information.
Program Preset
The Program Preset value is required. It is the value to apply within the resulting FOL-created file name. You can modify the Preset Value in Program Code grid column, on a row by row basis. This program name would normally have one or more Standard BOD ties in the SMSBOD file linking this program to an Infor OS Standard BOD as entered in Infor OS Standard BOD FM (SMFDOF410).
From Pathing
The From Pathing is the directory to search for .txt files to stage to the grid by clicking the Stage to Grid button. You can specify a file ending in .txt to copy a single file into the grid without needing to click the Stage to Grid button. You can modify the From Pathing directory specified and click Stage to Grid button multiple times to stage multiple files to the grid from various directories. Files having the same name in different directories will be skipped after staged to the grid once. New files staged to the grid are loaded at the top of the grid, pushing any existing already staged rows in the grid lower.
In the grid, you can change the only Program Code column. Changes are applied to the file name column automatically. Blanking out the program column is the same as deleting that row
You have these options. Click:
Clear Grid to remove all rows of data from the staging grid.
Copy to FOL to copy the original file from its indicated directory into the FOL having the displayed name in the grid. Files are copied to the FOL directory using the name shown in the staging grid.
The Copied File Display lists the file details. Check the Print Copied Info check box to print the details. Files having a leading asterisk in the display did not copy. Click OK.
Click Close to exit the Copy to FOL screen.
