Security Entry (SMR999.S)

Use the Security Entry (SMR999.S) screen to set security for each field in a customize report layout. You can set fields to be permanently hidden and lock fields with a security code. Security Entry processing can only be administrated by a user that is set up as a Reports administrator. Changes made are effective for all users.)

You can access this program from the Security button on the Customize Report (SMR999.U) program or by selecting the Custom Report Layout --> Security from the report program menu.

Fields for customizing reports

The system displays the report program name at the top of the screen as the default. All fields for the report appear in the browser in the lower portion of the screen. To set security for a field, highlight the field in the browser and press the image\edit_shg.gif icon. At the List From field you can enter the id number or description name or beginning letter to limit the field display listing in the browser.

1. Permanently hidden

Indicates that no user can choose the field to be added to the report. If the selected field already exists on a report, the field will not print.

2. Security Code

Enter the security code the user must have in order for the field to print on the report. Security can only be administrated by a user that is set up as a Reports administrator. Changes made are effective for all users.

Press the image\save.gif icon to save your security setting to the field or select the image\stopsm.gif icon to reset the screen.
